PAINTING

At the age of eight, my parents sent me off to take extracurricular drawing lessons. At home I would scribble on anything within reach —paper, doors, or walls— so, wisely enough, they decided to place me somewhere I could bother someone else instead.

Visually, like so many before me, I have journeyed from traditional representational drawing toward a simplification and abstraction of my own inner landscapes. Today I see painting as an aesthetic consequence of that inner world: a way to strip away the superfluous noise, to open space, to minimalize, to weave in words, to seek serenity and invite the viewer to let emotions flow outward from their own awareness —without needing to decode hidden meanings in each piece, simply to feel.

The technique I now use most is acrylic on wood. Since 2002 I have taken part in both group and solo exhibitions, in galleries and art spaces.
